JAB JA-121PW Bus Dual PIR+MW Motion Detector

Overview

The JAB JA-121PW is a bus dual PIR + microwave (MW) motion detector designed for reliable indoor intrusion protection. The detector requires configured confirmation between the PIR and MW sensors before signalling an alarm, improving immunity to false triggers compared with PIR‑only detectors.

Installation and mounting

This device is intended for JABLOTRON systems and must be installed by a trained, certified Jablotron technician. Install vertically with the cover latch down at the recommended height of 2.5 m. Avoid mounting near large metallic objects that can reflect or shield the MW field and check for interference if multiple detectors are installed in proximity.

Configuration and operation

All settings are made in the F‑Link software (Devices → Internal Settings). PIR and MW have separate immunity levels; MW sensitivity is selectable at 100%, 75%, 50% or 25%. MW confirmation can be limited to certain armed states, set always active, or disabled; MW‑only and PIR‑only modes are also available. Perform a walk‑test and verify coverage with F‑Link diagnostics after installation.
