GBT-212 is a portable tester designed for technicians to verify and calibrate acoustic glass-break detectors without damaging the glazed surface. In automatic mode the unit senses short air-pressure variations caused by the flexing or bending of a glass pane and automatically emits a simulated glass-break sound.

The tester also features a manual mode: when switched on while holding the test button, the device bypasses the pressure sensor and will produce the test sound only when the button is pressed—useful for controlled checks and sensitivity adjustments.

Recommended test procedure

  • Position the simulator with its speaker facing the glass-break detector and close to the window under test.
  • Switch on and wait about 4 seconds for the LED to remain steadily lit.
  • Lightly tap the glass or press the test button and confirm the detector’s response; adjust detector sensitivity as required using the detector’s documentation.

Power supply: 9 V battery (type 1604). Detection range: up to 9 m. Standby current ≈ 6 mA; peak current up to 200 mA. Low-battery indication below 8 V. Automatic shut-off after approx. 10 minutes of inactivity. Dimensions: 70 × 135 × 29 mm. Operating temperature: −10 °C to +40 °C. Environmental class II. Complies with EN 50130-4 and EN 55022.

Maintenance note: use quality alkaline 9 V batteries. Do not place the simulator near the ear and keep out of reach of children. Refer to the manufacturer for service and conformity details.
