SA-220 is a robust rolling metal magnetic contact designed for protection of roller shutters, garage doors and other heavy metal doors. The device features a metal housing and an armoured‑tube cable outlet to improve mechanical resilience and to limit tamper risks.

It is intended for wired connection to alarm control panels or input modules in industrial or outdoor installations where doors are exposed to mechanical stress, vibrations or vehicle passage.

Technical features

  • Size: 106 × 38 × 10 mm.
  • Maximum operating gap: up to 75 mm (installation-dependent).
  • Electrical limits: max. current 200 mA, max. voltage 30 V DC.
  • Construction: metal housing, cable in armoured tube, contact sealed in a glass tube.
  • Standards: operational environment EN 50131-1: IV (outdoor general), classification Grade 2.

When installing, avoid placing the contact directly against ferromagnetic structures that can weaken the magnetic field; the effective range may be reduced substantially (in practice up to ~50 %) when mounted in metal frames. The glass‑sealed contact should be handled with care to prevent breakage.

SA-220 provides a straightforward, wired solution for secure detection of openings on moving metal doors while preserving the manufacturer's specified limits.
