The JA-82T is a bus-powered USB interface cable for connecting a PC to OASiS control panels using the HID standard, so no drivers are required. It provides opto/galvanic isolation and supports direct text transfer from OLink to JA-81F wireless keypads.

JA-82T — USB PC interface cable for OASiS

The JA-82T connects Jablotron OASiS control panels to a computer running OLink software. By implementing the HID standard, the interface removes the need to install additional drivers on the PC, simplifying programming and configuration tasks.

Opto/galvanic isolation separates the computer circuitry from the control panel bus, reducing interference and protecting the panel from disturbances originating in the PC. The cable supports direct transfer of text messages from OLink to JA-81F wireless keypads; transfer to JA-80F is not supported. The interface is not suitable for JA-6 series control panels.

Key technical specifications:

  • Connections (PC, control panel): USB and RJ-4
  • External power supply: Not required (bus-powered)
  • Compatibility: all OASiS systems (not for JA-6 series)
  • Software: OLink version 1.0.2 and higher
  • EMC: EN50130-4, EN 55002

Cable extension and installation notes: USB can be extended with a standard USB extension cable up to 5 m. The RJ connector can be extended using the CT-04 cable up to 10 m; with a suitable twisted pair the data/power pairs can reach up to 100 m. Connection scheme: the two middle RJ pins are data (one pair), the outer pins carry power (second pair).

The JA-82T is intended solely for programming and configuration of OASiS systems via OLink. Always follow the control panel manufacturer's installation and safety instructions.
