JA-183M is a compact wireless magnetic detector designed to monitor openings of doors, windows and similar apertures. Its small footprint allows unobtrusive installation on a fixed frame (jamb) with the magnet mounted on the moving leaf. The detector triggers when the paired magnet is removed or moved away and supports instant or delayed alarm modes.

The device is addressable and occupies one address slot in a Jablotron system. A built‑in tamper protects the unit against unauthorized removal. Enrollment (pairing) and alarm reaction settings are configured via the control panel/software according to the installer manual and should be performed by an authorized installer.

Typical battery life is about 3 years for up to 20 activations per day; the CR123A battery is not supplied. Radio communication operates at 868.1 MHz (Jablotron protocol) with an open‑field range of approximately 300 m.
