JA-182SH — Wireless shock and tilt detector

The JA-182SH detects strong attempts at forced entry (shock/vibration) and unauthorised movement of portable valuables (tilt). It uses a semiconductor tri‑axis accelerometer with digital output; digital signal processing improves immunity to false alarms and increases overall detection reliability.

Operating modes and settings: Two modes are selectable via a DIP switch: SHOCK (vibration/shock detection) and TILT (change of position). In SHOCK mode a confirmation option (CONFIRM) can be enabled so two consecutive detections are required to trigger an alarm. Sensitivity is set using an internal trimmer.

Installation notes: For reliable shock detection mount the detector where impacts transfer well to the housing (e.g. glass panes, doors, showcases, safes, furniture). For tilt detection install vertically. Avoid direct mounting on large metal surfaces which can degrade radio performance. Enrolment and installation should be performed by a trained, certified technician.

Power and battery information: Powered by a single CR123A lithium battery (3.0 V / 1.4 Ah) — battery not included. Typical battery life is approximately 2 years with up to 20 activations per day. Low battery is reported (<2.4 V); replace within two weeks after notification.

Radio and compatibility: Wireless communication uses the Jablotron protocol on 868.1 MHz, ERP 3.7 mW, with an approximate range of 300 m in direct visibility. The detector occupies one position in the Jablotron system. Quiescent current 24 μA; maximum current 40 mA.
