Overview

The JA‑160PC is a wireless PIR motion detector with an integrated colour camera designed for motion detection and visual alarm verification within the JABLOTRON 100 system. It captures images when human movement is detected to support event assessment before response.

Camera and storage

Each event is recorded in two exposures: low resolution (LQ = 320 × 240) and high resolution (HQ = 640 × 480). The camera includes a visible flash for night or low‑light shots. Photos are saved in the detector's internal memory (micro‑SD) and forwarded to the control panel for optional transfer to external storage, an ARC or to system users.

Transmission and notifications

Typical transmission times to the control panel are 10–20 s for LQ and 60–130 s for HQ images under ideal conditions. The system supports automatic delivery of LQ previews to users and retrieval of HQ images on demand via MyJABLOTRON/WSS.

Installation and configuration

The detector is addressable and occupies one address slot in the JABLOTRON 100 system. Recommended mounting height is 2.5 m above the floor. PIR sensitivity is adjustable in two levels — standard (faster response, lower false‑alarm immunity) and higher (greater immunity, slower response). The JA‑160PC (90) variant features a narrow camera horizontal angle of 43°.

Best practice

Mount the detector so the camera covers the protected area without pointing at strong light sources or public areas where recording may be restricted. Use LQ for quick alerts and HQ when detail is required for verification.
