JA-120PW – BUS PIR & MW Motion Detector

The JA-120PW is designed for reliable indoor detection of human movement. It combines a PIR sensor with a microwave (MW) sensor: the PIR acts as the primary detector and, upon detection, activates the MW module which confirms or refutes the PIR trigger before an alarm is reported to the control panel. The MW unit remains inactive when the system is disarmed.

Being addressable on the Jablotron BUS, the detector occupies a single BUS address and can be centrally configured and monitored by the control unit. PIR coverage can be optimised using interchangeable lenses to suit the specific installation and to reduce blind spots.

The dual-technology approach improves immunity to false alarms caused by temperature changes, drafts, small animals or non-human disturbances. Selective MW activation only after PIR detection reduces unnecessary MW operation and potential interference.

Install the detector at the recommended height and align the lens according to the protected area. Adjust PIR and MW sensitivity through the system configuration to match the environment and to minimise false positives. The detector is intended for indoor use.
