Purpose and operation

The LD-81 is a compact wired probe designed to indicate the presence of water on floors or at low points in a room (basements, boiler rooms, bathrooms). When the probe electrodes are bridged by water the device reports a trigger condition; when dry it reports a standby state.

Connection and power

LD-81 connects to the IN1 and GND terminals of a compatible transmitter/receiver—commonly the JA-81M (OASiS) or the JA-150M (JABLOTRON 100/100+). The probe is powered from the host module circuit and requires no separate power source.

Compatibility and installation notes

  • Compatible with JA-81M (OASiS) and JA-150M (JABLOTRON 100/100+).
  • Can be used with older JA-60N units (Profi/Maestro) if a 4.7 kΩ series resistor is fitted between INP and GND where required by the host documentation.
  • Maximum cable length is 2.5 m; do not extend the cable to avoid false alarms.
  • Install the probe at the lowest practical point and ensure electrodes can contact any surface water.

Technical data and environment

Alarm condition: water flood. Operating temperature range: -10 °C to +40 °C. Intended for indoor use (environment class II). Complies with EN 50130-4 and EN 55022 standards.

Use cases and recommendations

LD-81 is suitable for protecting technical rooms and other areas at risk of water damage. Verify host module settings and wiring before commissioning. Correct placement and adherence to the maximum cable length are essential for reliable operation.
