JA-111ST-A is a BUS combined optical smoke and heat detector with an integrated siren and LED status indicator. It comprises two independent sensors: an optical smoke sensor (light scattering) for dense smoke and a heat sensor (class A1) for fires that develop heat rapidly with little visible smoke.

The detector operates as a system device when powered from the control panel BUS (12 V DC, 9–15 V). If 3×1.5 V AA batteries are inserted (alkaline LR6 or lithium FR6 recommended for low temperatures) and BUS power or communication is lost, the unit continues to operate autonomously in accordance with EN 14604.

The device provides optical and acoustic alarm signalling and can distinguish its own alarm, alarms reported by the system (triggered by other fire detectors) and other alarm types (e.g. intruder alarm). System parameters allow configuration of acoustic behaviour and temporary muting under defined conditions.

Key technical data (manufacturer datasheet):

  • Power: 12 V DC (9–15 V) or 3×1.5 V AA (alkaline LR6 or lithium FR6).
  • Quiescent current: approx. 5 mA; maximum current: 150 mA.
  • Smoke detection: optical light scattering; sensitivity m = 0.11–0.13 dB/m.
  • Heat detection: class A1 (alarm temperature approx. 60–65 °C).
  • Dimensions/weight: Ø 126 mm, height 52 mm, approx. 150 g (without batteries).
  • Operating range: -10 °C to +70 °C; humidity up to 75 % RH (non‑condensing).
  • Standards: EN 14604, EN 54‑5, EN 54‑7, EN 50130‑4, EN 55032, EN IEC 63000.

JA-111ST-A is intended for indoor residential and commercial installation and is not suitable for industrial environments or areas with heavy dust, continuous cigarette smoke or steam. Installation and commissioning should be performed by a trained installer holding a valid Jablotron certificate.

Note: batteries are not normally supplied. Use high-quality AA batteries of the same type and manufacturer; lithium FR6 cells are recommended where ambient temperatures fall below +5 °C.
